SCHOLARSHIP NEWS: The generosity of AREA members has allowed our organization to increase the amount of the scholarship-grant from $500 to $700 for the 2010 school year. Thank you to all of those who have rejoined and to those who have made donations beyond their membership dues. Thanks to you, four deserving Alief seniors will receive much needed assistance with their college expenses.

We are an organization made up Alief retired teachers, administrators, paraprofessionals and support staff whose mission can be summed up in three words: scholarships, service and social. While school may be out for us, our focus on the kids and the friendships we made in Alief ISD remains. Consider becoming part of a group continuing to impact the lives of students!
